Dean:
If you can keep the specks from ever growing any more, no. If you *can't* keep
them from growing, then yes, a CLA is ultimately called for. Since the acid
released by the fungus will eventually start to etch your coating/glass, better
to do it sooner rather than later, unless the lens is a junker anyways. In
such a case, just use it 'til your images have started to noticeably degrade,
and then toss it.
