You bet it's real! On 10/18/2001, I offered the list a brand new B-300 with an
Olympus CLA-1 and 43-55mm stepup ring for $200 + shipping. I had bought it for
a friend who said "he had to have one for his C-2000z Oly digicam", and then
changed his mind.
Although I'd gladly have sold it to a list member, I'm sort of glad no one
responded. On 10/27/2001, I listed the B-300 on Eb*y (with a reserve of $150)
and ended up getting $310 including shipping. I sold the CLA-1 and 43-55mm
stepup ring for a six dollar profit + shipping.
I sure wished I had bought about 10 of those B-300's instead of two when I
found B&H Photo had gotten a shipment last July. Oh well, hindsight is
20-20...
