125mm lens from Voigtlander
Voigtlander is introducing a 125mm lens to its SL range, designed
specifically for manual SLR bodies. The German manufacturer says the new
addition forms part of a 'back-to-basics' strategy, aiming to provide
high quality lenses for users of older camera models. The 125mm f/2.5
Macro Apo Lanthar lens is constructed from a solid all-metal barrel and
mount construction, featuring Apochromatic Lanthar glass elements and a
chrome-finish knurled focusing ring. Complete with a metal square lens
hood with bayonet fit, the device has a macro ratio of 1:1. Arriving
later this month, the lens will be available in a Nikon AI-S mount, with
further fittings to follow, including: Canon FD, Olympus OM, Pentax
PK-A/R, Yashica CY-MM, Praktica M-42, Minolta MD, Canon EF and Minolta
MA (the last two functional in manual settings only).
