Hello John,
I have three Cosina/Voigtlander lens (25, 35, and 75mm), and they are
superb: very sharp and contrasty. Most reports agree that the 35/1.7
Ultron is the equal of the Leitz 35/2 Summicron that came just before the
current ASPH variety. I can't argue with that. These lenses are among the
best values I've found in photography.
Regards,
John

Garth and Chris,
Nice LOOKING lense! I wonder how it would do in tests.
I sure wish they[Voightlander] would make a Ultra Wide-Heliar 12mm f/5.6
asph. and/or a Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 asph for OM SLRs.
As a matter of fact I wish almost ANYBODY would make an ultrawide asph.
lenses for the OM system.
I own a Samyang 18 to 28 f/4.0 to f/4.5 zoom.
It takes good pictures but is not asph..Below is a page that contains
lense reviews and tests on the Voightlander rangefinder lenses.See bottom
left of page.

Chris (and anyone else interested):
Here's the link to the actual lens on Voigtlander's/Cosina's website:
http://www.cosina.com/125_Voigt.htm
58mm filter diameter, 670 grams, 11 elements in 9 groups. APO glass.
Macro capability. Looks nice.
