Yes and no. The OM-3 circuit can have a high current drain, but that is
offset by the fact that it doesn't use an electomagnet for shutter timing
(it's mechanical). The net result is that OM-3's don't eat up batteries
as bad as misbehaving OM-4's.

About $2K, but why go with an R6? If you're going to go with Leica, go with
an M series.
