The seller put a reserve on the item. That's the minimum amount the
seller is prepared to let the item go for. The buyer kept bidding until
until he finally met the reserve. So, now, the buyer is "obligated" to buy
it and the seller is "obligated" to sell it. I used quotes around the word
"obligated" because EvilBay doesn't really do much if either the buyer or
seller backs out of the deal. So, to be accurate, one should really say
buyer and seller *should* follow through with the transaction.
