It needs work. The ones I see will take a picture, then fire by itself on
the next one, then it'll be okay one frame, then it'll fire by itself again.
You can check it by opening the back and without film, simply put a little
pressure on the sprocket while you wind and fire.

Subject: [OM] Problem(s) with OM10
| Hello List,
| i have a nice OM10, which lately behaves odd :-(
| 1. Very often (roughly on every second picture) if i advance
| the film by one frame (after taking a picture), the Camera
| takes another picture without touching the release button.
| This can go on for half a roll of film :-(
| This is very frustrating
| I don't think this is a mechanical problem. Batteries
| are OK (i installed fresh ones, measured 1,55V on each one,
| but it doesn't help).
| 2. on some pictures, there are vertical stripes with
| are brighter than the rest of the picture. It seems
| the shutter does not move smoothly.
| 3. Lately (since yesterday) the lever is stuck:-(
| Are these known problems? Is there any help available?
| thanks for any hints,
| Hermann
