Seriously, I need to find out if it is possible to use the T20 off
the camera (OM1 with a shoe #1) and what items must I purchase in order
to use it of [sic] the camera. I was told this group is the
experts. This newbie would appreciate some advice on this problem.
Richard:
Since the OM-1 doesn't do TTL flash with the T20, you're in a fortunate
position -- you can use just about any third-party hotshoe extension cord
to operate the T20 off-camera. However, if you wish to stick with Oly
stuff, you could try finding the TTL Auto Connector T20, written up at the
Olympus Electronic Sales Information File ("the e-SIF") at either of these
two URLs:
http://www.e-sif.net
or
http://www.taiga.ca/~esif
Look in the "Flashphoto Group."
BTW, both those URLs point to the same physical machine, one of several in
a server farm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada which I have an interest in --
the "www.-esif.net" URL is just a DNS alias to the other URL. The e-SIF
itself is the brainchild of Hans van Veluwen, another Listmember.
Enjoy!
