Happy as a pig in fresh slop. Held my breath two days ago and ordered a
mint- OM-4Ti from Koh's Camera. Seemed like a good price if the camera's
condition was as advertised. The sales guy said I had 14 days to inspect,
and a 90 day warranty. Took the plunge.
For starters, though I didn't ask for it, the $10 shipping included delivery
within 48 hours. I got the thing this afternoon. Second, the mint- condition
rating was a wee bit on the conservative side. It took me several minutes of
looking to find any evidence of use, which was a light scratch on the bottom
plate near the battery slot, and another very small very slight wear mark on
one flank. I had to be really looking to find this stuff. All covers, etc.,
are in place.
No film yet, but as far as I can tell, everything works exactly as it
should. The meter check noise is loud and long and steady, suggesting that
Koh's may have installed a fresh set of batteries. They also included the
original, albeit cheesy, Olympus strap, which appears never to have been
unfolded, a mint Olympus body cap, and even a manual for a 4T, which doesn't
quite cover the 4Ti, but will be close enough until the 4T manual I ordered
from Tom arrives.
The only downside I can see to this camera is that my linear polarizers just
became obsolete. Sigh.
Looks like Koh's is a winner.

P.S. Anyone out there got a MC Zuiko 90 f/2 macro they want to get rid of?
