A nylon ring 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD and about 2mm thick is perfect, but using the
1.5v battery without some kind of compensation will yield up to a 3 stop
error.

Subject: [OM] What battery or spacer for a 1.5 volt altered OM 1
| What would the battery number be for a 1.5 V battery to fit in an OM 1?
| Seems like someone had mentioned a spacer or washer that would allow you
to
| use the same 1.5V battery used in the 2,3 or 4. What would that item be
and
| where might one be found? Bill Barber
