B is held open mechanically, though when the mirror goes up, it will turn on
the main circuit for 3.5 minutes. After 3.5 minutes (the instruction book
says 2 minutes) the P board turns the circuit off to stop battery drain.
The mechanical latch will continue to hold the shutter open.
