Bill,
I've used a 6mm Nikkor on a Nikon F - and yes, the mirror had to be locked
up. Had to use a spirit level to make sure the camera/lens were level. It
was so much better using the 8 mm Zuiko.
As they were being used to estimate 0ght input to terrestrial habitats
on mountain slopes - I took the Zuiko whenever I could. (I also used a T
mount Hannimex fish eye - peculiar design similar to the Sigma lenses that
have sold on ebay recently)
