OM-4 serial numbers started around 1,000,000. So, all 4s of that vintage
will have the oldest boards unless it's been serviced at some time and an
intermediate board had been installed.
Olympus Woodbury used to exchange the 4s of that era with new inventory, as
a gesture, in the hopes the new body would have better battery drain.
I'd sit there all day, bad body in, new body out. Looked good on my daily
work report sheet. :-)
I think Clint mentioned there were atleast 2 intermediate board improvements
before the 4T came out.

Subject: [OM] Om 4 circuit's
Hi all,
On the OM 4's with the 4t circuit boards, my s/n is above one million. But
it doesn't have the newer circuit, at least it doesn't turn off within 30
seconds, like I've read it should. Someone had posted saying that maybe
above a million might have the 4t board, I don't think so. Does anyone else
know about this?
Thanks, Smitty
