I guess you mean the Tamron 80-210, not 85-210 3.8/4 zoom. There are actually
two models; #03A made from 1979-82 with built-in hood, and #103A made from
1981-87 with separate hood. I have had both, and quality seems fine; close
focussing at all focal lengths, macro ratio down to 1:2.8/2.9 at 210mm, weight
634 grams. I use the #103A together with a Zuiko 35-70/3.6 as a
lightweight kit.
Sincerely,
Roger Key
I have just acquired a Tamron 85-210 f3.8/4 zoom with an Adaptall adapter
on the end for OM. I also have a Kitstar 135 mm f3.5 for OM. Can anyone
tell me anything about these two lenses?
The Kitstar seems to take nice sharp pictures. I have not used the Tamron
yet.
