Ahem, I get at least 3mbps down, 800kbps up. Doesn't cost me
anything!
Well, I do work for the phone company and I am the Data Network
Engineer in charge of the DSL, Frame Relay and ATM networks.
There is something to knowing where the configuration screens
are.
Biggest problem is that there is a huge point of diminishing
returns at 500kbps. Unless you are running a big LAN, I
wouldn't bother with anything beyond 500kbps service.
Oh, I'd have 8mpbs down if I wasn't on an experimental cable
testing bridge-taps, pair reversals, loads and other nasties.
Comes with the free service.
