I don't do as much B&W as I once did, but my all time favorite combination was
Adox KB14 and Afga Rodinol, diluted 1:150. The film's not available anymore,
but Rodinol is. It's a "mechanical" developer, gives a l-o-n-g tonal range and
great acuteness. It's not a so-called (sometimes mushy) fine-grain developer.
Try it. You may like it. After all, it's been around for 40 or 50 years for
some reason.
