i can only wish for sky that dark.. i live in hilly suburbs, so some portions
of the sky are nice and dark, others you can spot the city glow from
down below. i did an 8hr or so exposure on superia400, 28/3.5, which was
basically useless, looked like daylight. so i'll have to try 100speed
this time, and test how long i can go before i get sky fog and light pollutions
effects. i'm not serious enough to seek out a darksky location
(plenty of them around), too blinkin' cold! and besides, it gets lonely as it
is in the backyard. i'd get terribly lonely and bored stiff and frozen and
doze off if i went solo into a darksky location.
