These shoes are the object of effusive praise in Miles Morland's book "A 
Walk Across France."  I had a chance to stick my head into a Mephisto-only 
shoe store in Alençon (Normandy) while on vacation there in Spring.  Baby.
I was delighted to find that they are represented by several fine stores in 
Edmonton.
