Unfortunately we've seen this before. As I left for vacation the end of
July there was a similar flare-up with threats to start a whole new list
and whatnot. I find it stranger still given current events, but maybe it's
just a case of people handling stress differently. There just seems to be
something in the human condition which argues strongly against harmonious
congregation in larger groupings for long, and it can all fall down fast
when hard opinions are dealt for real. Happens every time, and it hardly
seems to matter if it's face to face or online.
Well, no one ever said it'd be easy. <g>
Tris
Tom, Tris, and others ...
One on the reasons that I enjoy this list is because of the frequent
off topic threads that develop. When I first joined the list some
of the long OT threads would begin to bug me ... but my pre-pubescent
son showed me a secret technique ... just tap the key labeled "Delete"
and the offending post magically disappear!
