My experience with half frame photos....
First of all, "half frame" is really "Single frame". Our standard 35mm
cameras use 2 frames. So, two half frames will fit just fine on a standard
4x6 print.
The trouble I have run into, is that the automatic machines get confused
and dont know where to cut the negatives. They start cutting all sorts of
weird places. If you have a prominent verticle line in your photo...it
might cut on it... I have several times sent film in for processing
thinking I would just cut all the photos in half only to find the negatives
all hacked up and prints missing right out of the middle of the roll. I
have decided to use my half frame for black and white and do my own
processing.

No where is it explained about how the frames differ specifically from
normal 35 mm cameras except that it is half frame.
My question is:
What if you told a commercial processor to develop and print the normal
way?
Would you simply get two images on one 4x6 print ? I have scissors,
that is an easy problem : )
OK, is there some dividing barrier between each picture ? I could live with
some line between the images as long as all the pics on the roll lined up
properly with the correct spacing. Would a small part of the the dual
half frame prints images be cropped off ?
Alternatively, I was considering asking the commercial developer to just
develop the negatives if printing was a problem as I could then use
a 35mm film scanner and scan the images and split the digital image into
two separate images.
Thanks Much.
