I finally granted one of my wife's wishes yesterday and acquired our first
digital. Had just been visiting with her brother, he has a two month old
E10. I got to play with it quite a bit. Nice, but what a maze of menus and
choices. On the way home, happened by a Camera's West... I was only going to
look at their used OM stuff, and what do I find on the shelves but a C4040.
It's a 4.1 Mpixel in a C3000/3040 size package with an F1.8 lens. Couldn't
pass up the combination, and the menus, while still plentiful, have been
arranged in a more 'user friendly' way on this camera (salesman talk). We'll
see how I acclimate to this new environment. Already showed my wife that
it's got three or four different manuals that came with it, the main user one
is about 50 pages long (she's definitely not a techno type). Should be fun.
Jim from home.
PS... The only OM stuff the store had was a nice looking silver nose 50/1.4
(you there schnozz?), and a pedestrian user looking OM10... you can see my
dilemma, I couldn't leave empty handed.
