Hi Jim,
Thanks for these encouraging arguments against going digital.
I would like to add one. It is almost imposible to get decent management of
depth of field, or for that sake, bokeh. This is because most digitals have a
lens in the range of 5-16mm or so. It's like shooting with a fisheye all the
time, with cropping everything but the center (and still with quite some
pincushion distortion at the wide end).
I have jst borrowed my department's Nikon Coolpix 990 last week. I liked the
fastness when I was taking pictures of my OM stuff for the insurance, but when
it came to taking "real" pictures, my interest was lost.
And, if we now treat that matter: is there anyone who has taken pictures with a
digital camera at the equivalent of using 35mm film with 1600ASA at F1.4 and
1/60 sec.?
Best regards
Bernd
