I'm not sure if you're joking, since I've had friends think I was
kidding when I mentioned to them that I was going to take some photos
of frozen waterfalls. But such pictures can be quite striking.

I've got nothing against slides, and even have about a dozen rolls of
Velvia chilling in the fridge at the moment, but I feel like doing
this on color print film.
