It's not rumour. It has been announced - with an 18 month lead. I
suspect
the announcement may have been a matter of testing the waters. They
did say
in the announcement that they will continue to support the E-10
digitals,
but said not a word one about the OM series.
The new digital they plan is based on a Kodak chip (they have a
partnership with Kodak) and will not be based on 35mm lenses, but
will have
lenses designed specifically for the chip.
