Well there is a theory that global warming will melt icecaps and dump a
lot of cold water in the Gulf Stream, disrupting its flow, resulting in
a sudden decrease in warmth in northern latitudes, allowing snow to
accumulate with very short summers thereby resulting in a new iceage.
Under the circumstances I don't think you can be too careful and you
should buy the battery holder, just in case.
