Watching some footage of the Sydney Olympics with coverage of the coverage
- a US journalist described Sydney as being like Iowa without the corn. Can
any of you guys explain 'cos I don't get it.
Me neither (and I've been to Sydney and lived in Iowa). Sydney
doesn't have the most -- um, challenging -- topography, but there are
lots of places that are as topographically boring as Iowa. Sydney at
least has one of the most beautiful harbors in the world. Hmmmm ....
