If you don't mind slow film, it's hard to beat Ilford Pan F (50). At ISO
100, T-Max is very good, but the 400 is way too grainy. At 400, the
chromogenic (C41) B&W films are good: Ilford XP2 Super and Kodak T 400
CN. They're even better shot at 200.
Have a good time.

I need some advice on what B&W film I need to take to Palmyra.
I want to take a few rolls b/c I thought it might be the best way to capture
all the rusted WWII stuff the navy left behind.
I rarely shoot B&W, so I have no idea what would be good.
Any thoughts from the list on a good all-around film?
TIA,
