the funny thing is, i always "hear" this whizzing whoooooooooooooosh when the
meteors pass, a roaring whooooooooooosh when i saw the big fireball (heading
SW,
0245PDT).... hah

an analogy i read: the moths/bugs are the space debris your windshield is the
earth, the splatters are the meteors ;)
