One man's "expensive" is 'nuther man's "cheap" but to answer your
question in general terms, PayPal dings one pretty good when
transferring the funds into a Canadian account. First, you get hit with a
surcharge ('bout 2% I believe). Then, they ding you on the exchange
rate. And if that's not bad 'nuff, your own bank then dings you again
because it's an international transfer.
So, like I said, what I do is leave the funds in PayPal and use them to
buy something else. Of course, ALL purchases of Olympus/Zuiko
equipment go IMMEDIATELY into the Zuikoholics Anonymous
Education & Prevention Program and are NOT for my personal use!
Regards,
Chris
P.S. Even with the extra costs, it's still easier than cashing a USPS
money order, even the "international" ones. Canadian banks look on
those with great disdain! Might as well be monopoly money! :-(((
