Hi all,
Ok, I just have to commiserate with someone, since my wife is getting
tired of hearing me groan about it :) Here's the story: We are in the
process of moving to Santa Fe, NM, and we are currently living in a hotel
room while we wait for our place to be ready to move in. Of course as
part of exploring this new town, I had to find the camera stores with
used Oly equipment. I went to one yesterday, and saw that they had a
nice collection of stuff, including a 28/2, 85/2, 80/4 macro, and a few
others. The prices were a bit on the high side. I got to talking with
one of the salespersons, who sounded like an OM fan, and had a friend who
has two 24 shifts (one with color filters, and one with B&W)! Anyhoo, I
learned that they had a 350/2.8 with a 1.4XA converter and the aluminum
case, but had sold it the day before. Although I didn't really want to,
I asked how much it sold for. $1300. I was really bummed! The plastic
didn't really need such a workout, but I don't think I could have
resisted! I don't know if I could or would have kept it, but it sure
would have been fun to play with. Anyway, if a list member bought it,
congrats on a GREAT deal!
Thanks for sharing my pain :)
