Could'nt rest myself putting in my comment on this:

Yes, sort of. I think it means to set up an ambush so surprised bidders get the
bullet (your bid) when they don't expect it.

Well Babel Fish is a nice thing, especially because there must be a hidden
algorithm in it that adds a funny twist.
A better translation of schnippeln is to snip. You'll need a pair of scissors
for that, not a pistol.

Er, neither do I. My only attempt so far just resulted in an unsuspectedly high
price for the winning bidder, ha ha.
