How about if we just let nature take its course, and should someone take
offense and leave in a huff so be it?
Avoiding issues solves nothing, adds nothing--it's the behavior of an
ostrich. Surely we can do better than a bird.

Corvette. A friend of mine was flying F15s at about the same time as I
was on F16s, both in Florida courtesy of the USAF, and he compared the
big, heavy but fast Eagle to the Corvette... and the little, light (but
still fast and more agile) F16 to a Lotus. They both have their good bits.
But this international List will fall apart if we start to enter into
nationality-based (and therefore prejudiced) discussions of perfectly
ordinary items (except for the daft idea of driving a huge truck for
recreation of course ;-)).
Let's keep national culture out of photography...
