I hope that there is noone on this list that has any faith in that stupid
sticker. Some people actually believe that JCII actually inspect all items that
have a sticker; the truth is that an occasional sample is checked (one in a
thousand?), and all items get the 'passed' sticker. It is just a marketing
fraud; I often remove the sticker, as I think that it defaces our beautiful
Olympus equipment.

Dear Zuiks,
I have just noticed (probably not for the first time) that my OM-4Ti does not
have the JCII "PASSED" sticker on its pentaprism.
But my other OM cameras all have had this sticker placed there, and my C*non
A-1 too. It is a characteristic feature of these little Japanese marvels of
engineering and design.
Does anybody have an OM-3/4 Ti with a PASSED sticker on it?
I suspect that maybe they didn't put them on, because they might have fetched
the paint off the Titanium top plate, as does almost anything else.
I am fairly sure that I didn't take it off myself, but I may be wrong. I
can't see any sign of traces of glue.
Dave Bellamy.
