Larry,
Here's a little for what it's worth....
My new old stock 4T is serial number 1166xxx, apparently a little older than
your (1175xxx) camera. There is an eBay auction for a 4T (one of several)
going on. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1257696248
I contacted the seller since his serial number is 1140xxx. He purchased the
camera new in 1991. I've at least got a "no older than" date for mine (and
for your camera too). I would love to narrow it down a bit more plus get
the answer to your T vs Ti serial number question. By the way, my film
compartment shows TNi6 22. There is definitely some space between the 6 and
the 2. If I interpret this to mean a build date of 02/92, that would be
consistent with the seller's dating of his camera. The 6 still throws me
though.
