Well, no -- But there is a little story there anyway. The first gas heater
I tried was a French unit . It mounted in the rear compartment and used the
regular heater ducts to blow heated air into the car. Air input was from
the car interior as well (hole in the firewall). The unit put out hot air,
but it was cold by the time it got to the front of the car. I replaced it
with one of the German ones that mounted in the "trunk" -- that one put out
lots of hot air thru a duct that ran across the bottom of the dash but
didn't warm the floor so you could be pretty warm and still have cold feet
(front engines do have some advantages) LOved the car otherwise -- and had
2 more as well as a couple of Microbuses -- then got a 75 Rabbit -- the
worst car VW has ever made -- but it had heat!.
