I have always loved british cars ( and motorcycles-- anyone remember the
Norton 850 ?) I had an MG Midget at one time and it was a great little
car-- very dependable, 1967 model. Also had a beautiful Fiat Spyder
2000-- great to look at thank goodness, cause you couldn't drive it very
often--not dependable. I probably have always wanted a Heally 3000 or a
Jag XK 140 most of all-- which I believe are two of the most beautiful
cars ever made.

Anyone out there brave enough to admit to once being a Fiat owner??????
The one (and only) brand new car I ever purchased was a 1974 124 TC Special.
A three box sedan with a double overhead cam 1600cc motor, four wheel disc
brakes, and 'questionable' reliability. I actually dearly loved that car,
but the heartland of the country (the Dakotas, both North and South) was NOT
the ideal place to own such a car. I'm not sure any part of this country
would have been the right place to own that car. When it was running
properly, it was a gem. When it wasn't, I'll leave the rest up to you...
Jim,
Would you believe an 850 Syder!!! and in the land of snow and ice - Prince
George, BC. Ran it for about 2 years, cleaned up at all kinds of slaloms.
My kid brother brother bought it from me and he in turn ran it for several
years. Lusted after a 124 Spyder but could never swing a deal on one.
