Hawaiian Camera Supply just placed a 50/1.2 up for $329.00. I've checked
Skip Williams's site and in five eBay transactions this lens has sold for
an average of a mere $ 236.00. What I don't know is what shape those
lenses were in. If they were even decent I find that nothing short of
amazing. Truth is, B&H, KEH, Adorama would all get $450 or so for this
same glass, which HCS lists as Exc++/Mint condition. I've dealt with Don
Slocum (the owner) three times and he has always delivered the goods.
I believe this BIN is a relative steal for anyone who's wanted one of
these beautiful (if somewhat finicky) lenses.

In the end it seems that you were tempted too much with this one :)
I recently acquired a brand new in box 50/1.2 for $500 AU (ie $250 US) and
its a fantastic lens even to 'behold'. I think you're right about the price
on this one being represented low in Skip's older e*ay data. I made one
failed attempt at getting one of these from Cameta camera that 'overlooked'
a fungus farm 50/1.2; they had priced it at $299 US. I sent it back and
lost a one way shipping fee. They are a rarish lens and I think the price
you got it for was in line with others I've seen.
I was very lucky to get mine for what I did. And the joy of unpacking a new
Zuiko... can't be described. The box, the plastic, the foam, the mint lens
caps... nothing comes close :)
