I buy Tiffen and B+W exclusively. I've no experience with the Hoya line so
I couldn't comment on those.
I generally run a Skylight over my lens at all times, unless there's other
stuff there and the stack's too much. That's even when the lenses are in
the bag or on the shelf, by the way. No way I'll let my front element
become exposed--also, it keeps the dirt and smog out. Can't say I've had
any issues with re to flare. (I usually use hoods outside, though, so that
cuts down the chances right there.)
Re the thin circular polarizers: both Tiffen and B+W sell these. (Costly,
they are. <g>)
General recommendation: buy Tiffen and/or B+W. In the long run I believe
it's worth it.

Hi all,
Just a question regarding filters for Zuiko's.
What brand filters do people use specifically:
1. on super wides to avoid vignetting?
2. on other lenses to protect front element and yet have minimal
additional flare?
3. Is there such a thing as a slim line circpol filter?
I'm not really a fan of filters even for lens protection as I have some
old Hoya filters that increase flare and reduce contrast considerably but
I had a close call with my 50/1.2's front element so I'm back to wanting
to use them.
Any recommendations on the issues above?
