I too, have an OM-2S. My solution to the battery drain problem is to simply
remove the batteries and put them in a film canister after each use. It's
kind of a pain, but a small part of the cost of ownership.
Battery problems are a recurring theme of discussion here. SR44W (the watch
battery), or 357, either, in silver oxide, are reputed to be the best.
