It really looks like it is a T-10 in this case. The only thing wrong is the
label designation, so your conclusion of:

must be correct. This is what I began to suspect when I saw the unit, but I
had only an 'intuition' to guide me. Your photos definitely reveal the truth.
The T-10 has been grafted onto a T-8 back plate with the T-8 label on it.
