Statistics Canada website
http://www.statcan.ca/trade/scripts5/define_query_form.cgi/file.htm
shows the following Commodity Classificationcodes -
9006510000 - Camera (o/t cine) with through-the-lens viewfinder, roll film
width 35mm
9006539000 - Camera (o/t cine) o/t single use, excl. through-the-lens
viewfinder,film width 35m
The second one is appropriate for rangefinder cameras - I assume the "35cm"
film width is an error unless it refers to aerial cameras! These came up
with a search under 'lens' - 'camera' didn't show them of course!
They can be used as customs codes - mark the package and customs slip
clearly with Used Photographic Equipment - COMMODITY CLASS. CODE #90*******
and that seems to avoid problems and, sometimes, import duties. Speeds it
up too. This has worked well for me.
