If its the tab that the panel rests against, its only purpose is to keep the
panel snug so it won't rattle.

Subject: Re: [OM] T32 flash repair - solved
Hi again,
The before mentioned problem is solved. I found an old thread by John
Hermanson where he described the procedure. The foot is fixed now.
After I opened the flash, however, my first thought was "holy sh..!!!" What
an odd design. To fasten the 4 tiny screws holding the foot, you have to
virtually dismantle the whole thing: capacitor (I checked carefully whether
it was charged or not. It was'nt), circuit boards and a plastic flap.
Getting these back into the right position without queezing any wires is
quite a job.
And then I discovered another problem: a small tilting thingy (engaged by a
spring) behind the calculator panel is broken off. Is this the one telling
the flash to go fully automatic with the camera? Do I need to bother about
it? So fare all my pictures with TTL have been exposed properly.
Any hints out there?
Bernd

Subject: [OM] T32 flash repair?

tiny screws holding it are loose. I remember that this topic has been
discussed here before. Can anybody send a link to an explanation on how to
open the T32 case? The only screw I see is in the battery compartment -
where are the others hidden?
