Adam,
Download a copy of Vuescan at http://www.hamrick.com/. It has presets for
B&W film and supports the Nikon scanners. I use this software for all my
scanning. Highly recommended, and a deal at $40. That would be much
cheaper than giving your negatives to someone.

Subject: [OM] Scanning of B&W negatives

Does anyone on the list know of a place on the Gold Coast or Brisbane
(Australia) that can scan B&W negatives to disk and what price you can
expect to pay. I have access to a Nikon Coolscan LS2000 but it does not do
a very good job of B&W negatives. I would only be after a small scan of an
approx 100KB JPG file.
Cheers Adam
