I notice that the past week or so there seem less listings on Ebay, i.e. just 
about 400 items listed whereas used to be over 600 usually. What could this 
mean?

  Seemed like nothing but the usual for the past several weeks and then a f2 
  180mm and a 400mm f6.3 showed up along with some others not seen every day.
