Having been out of the country on holiday last week
I've only just caught up on the 'Braun mercury cell'
story so I went along to Boots at lunchtime and got 3
of them. Marked as Varta 625 PX 1.35V on the packing,
usual warnings about not rechargeable / may explode /
dont let children eat them.
I'm currently using a Wein air cell in my 1n, but if
these Braun / Varta batteries are the real thing it
wont break the bank (UKP1.30 each) to stock up.
