Thanks for the reply. Yes I thought about that later last night. I thought
"Silly me. Now I am going to stand corrected!!" I finished the film in my
OM-2SP and opened it up and tried the shutter. Of course, the bottom of the
secondary mirror/Fresnel lens is coated black and so is the 5mm or so around
the edge of the main mirror. Result - no light to the cells after the mirror
is raised. Light through the viewfinder _might_ affect the manual exposure
reading a bit, but only if my head is not in the way(!) on occasions if the
sun is shining in from the side and behind, but I suspect that it will be
more accurate than the OM-1/2 with CdS in the viewfinder itself in manual
even under those circumstances.
