You might actually mean the 18-28mm which is definately made for Vivitar
by Samyang. As opposed to the19-35mm, the build quality is high, and the
lens is all metal. The aperture stays within only 1/3 stop throughout
its range, which is very usefull for flash exposure (unless being
metered through the lens). I find my results to be sharp & contrasty
with nice color balance. You can get the Samyang version brand new
with 6 year warranty for $135-140 at any time, and used on ebay for
about $100-$110.
I recommend it.
