I have a Nikon L37c on mine and it doesn't impede - neither do a couple of
Hoya's I just checked. You'll get people saying "don't use a filter" - I
have a silver-nose 300mm with the old screw cap - I screw off the filter
with it as well, unless I need it (i.e. wet and windy).
