Distorsion has nothing to do with APO definition.
True. But the point is that definitions aren't universal and can be,
umm, manipulated.
APO is a lens that has the highest correction for chromatic aberration:
3 distinct wavelenght (=colors) are focused on the same plane,
Turns out that is NOT the definition used by camera lens makers (or
DIN). They only require 2 to be at the same point and a third to be
close for APO. Microscopes and telescopes are in a different league.
