Of course he can set the price at any level he chooses.....it's not a
debate...it is merely a short discussion concerning the data points on Skip's
site. Actually has little or nothing to do with this particular lens.

word 'average' in describing the middle lens of a several lens sampling. I
only said 'maybe' Mark priced his lens according to the samples posted on
Skip's web site, I never said Mark's lens was the 'average of all lenses
you'll see.'

If you have 2 lenses and one is "New in box with all packaging" and goes
for
$700 and the second is Exc+ (a nice lens) and goes for $500.....an
"average" price really isn't $600.....it's close to the $500 because that
is actually the "average" condition of most of the lenses you will see.
